Rooibos, pronounced ROY-BOSS, is an evergreen shrub that comes from the Cedarburg region of South Africa. Rooibos, also known as Red Tea is a naturally caffeine free herbal, low in tannins and very high in antioxidants. Although Rooibos is fairly new to North America, it has been consumed in South Africa for generations. According to research Rooibos has been shown to aid in health problems such as insomnia, irritability and hypertention.
